Fronting the group is Nanna,  also known as celebrated vocalist Leora Cashe, whose rich, expressive voice and magnetic stage presence have made her a beloved figure in both jazz and children’s music communities. With over 25 years of experience teaching and performing for young audiences, from Gymboree music classes in Vancouver, BC and renowned Music House for Children in London, England, to her thriving Music for Young Children studio in Delta, BC, Leora brings a rare combination of vocal excellence, warmth, and connection to her audience. Influenced by folk, jazz, R&B, and gospel, her performances glow with authenticity and soul.

Jaye Krebs—also known as "Obo" (named by his grandchildren)—is a multi-disciplinary creator, storyteller, animator, VES award and Primetime Emmy-winning film visual effects artist. With 45 years of professional practice rooted in his extensive background as a pianist and musical director, Jaye brings both musical depth and high-end technical mastery to his work. His lifelong passion for multi-stylistic illustration, lyric writing, and animation launched Nanna & Obo's Groovetoons, a premium children's media project designed to foster early childhood visual and musical literacy through authentic genres like jazz, samba, and New Orleans grooves. He is currently completing his fifth story-song picture book, 60 Million Years. 

Together, Nanna & Obo create a show that is heartfelt, groovy and irresistibly fun, showcasing a seamless blend of musicianship, humour, and storytelling. Backed by the vibrant Groovetoon Market band, the duo brings a spirited, interactive performance that leaves audiences smiling, singing, and dancing along.
